I’m really into being a source of creativity for myself. I’m able to power up my inspiration when I need it. I am in the constant state of filling myself up.
I think it is important to imagine it as one of your human jobs on this earth.
What if you started to search each day for that light? Maybe it would start to become a habit. Each small day. Listen, you can do anything weird and wild to keep yourself bright and creative and alive. No one is looking. Or maybe you want us to look.
The trick is to not be afraid.
The trick is to be open to everything appearing.
Let it in.
Here are some sources of inspiration from my human job as Creativity Director for the life of Amy Turn Sharp. Maybe something will hit you like light. Maybe you will find a connection to your own magic. You never know. That’s why it is important for us to keep sharing. To keep holding on.
Things I poured into my well of light this week:
All Books about Francis Bacon
Meagan Alwood-Karčić: A glorious artist in Ohio.
Journals. Burning through them. Not precious at all. Scribble. Draw. Tear em up.
also: I am going to read East of Eden. Here. How cool?

P.S. I’m adding writing prompts each week to my notes/chats on the Substack App. <3
I picked up Grapefruit at Trident books on Friday. I think you'd enjoy knowing that.
