Birds sit on power lines and they don’t get electrocuted because electricity is always trying to get to the ground. There is a highway near me where hundreds of birds sit on wires every day, and I wonder if you still notice the birds when you drive there and nod to them. I never noticed those birds till you pointed them out. You bring things to my attention and then I am a whole new person. Really, I think sometimes I am a circuit for some current. Maybe it is not electricity, but something is entering and flowing through me when I am near you, when we stand on the earth remarkably at the same time in the history of the world and you tell me how I am so lit up and I say thank you, I know.
