I'm sipping vodka from a Le Parfait jam pot. Today, my son turned 17, and as enjoyable as his day has been, he's ready to be with his girlfriend. They're watching movies downstairs, and it seems he likes her more than all of us. The vodka is left over from the other night—just Tuesday, really. My gorgeous friends came over and made martinis because it was one of those days. It was officially the day I got divorced, with all the court, stress, and finality.

It's no secret, but maybe it was something I couldn't say so easily. 

A significant part of my life as a mother was on the Internet—with him. We had a whole other life back then, a good one for a long time. We traveled the world, sold wooden toys, and hung out with Martha Stewart. You could buy our designs at Whole Foods,
