MUTHA Magazine essay
I’m still in bed. Sniffle. Sniffle. I’m trying to get my shit together and feel better because, well, it is almost Christmas and Keith is having foot surgery tomorrow, so things are about to be wild. I have several fun videos to finish my silly December TikTok series. Send the good vibes.
One nice thing today is that MUTHA magazine published my essay “Signing My Babysitter’s High School Graduation Card.” I really admire the mag and it has made me so happy! I hope you will read it. I was so very lucky to have wonderful nanny/sitters when the boys were small. They are still very much a part of the fabric of our family. Anyways, I wanted to share that. I’m trying to become braver and submit essays and poems to literary magazines. In Greece this fall, I realized, why not? I really need to get used to rejection. (I have had 5 rejections since October, so that is FUN.) I need to make room in my life for bravery. Also, there is a place for me. Somewhere. AND, it makes me excited to write more of my stories down. I have good ones inside of me.
I hope you are doing great today and the weight of the world is not pushing down too hard.
