Prompt #2

LOOK BACK notes: how I motivate my lazy ass

In my career I do so many things that when it comes time for my reviews I have to actually go back to the calendar and look at all of the different jobs and brands/companies that I've worked on all year, and I think that it's really important to do that in your personal life too.

Take a flip back through your Instagram or your calendar or your e-mail & start in January. Go through each month and make a good and a bad list… what went well each month & what didn't… and then from there you can make some signs that you hang around your house of all of the good you created. They don't have to be large signs, even a post-it is cool, but they need to be up in your line of vision, they need to be where you see them every day like the bathroom or the kitchen.

They need to be there to remind you of all the magic you are capable of. All of the things you want, like no shit in 2023.

I like to also take the less positive list and mine it for reframing opportunities. I did not finish my one woman show this year, but my sign will remind me that I only have 25% left to write. I can do that.

Little reminders can be powerful for motivating me. I hope this can be both a good reflection tool and a way to pump you up!

Prompt #3

Make a MONTHLY Mantra

Words are powerful and let’s choose a new mantra each month and lean into it. Let it become a part of us as we go through the days. Let it be a comfort. A place to return when anxious or unsure. Let it be a sword. Let it remind you of your power. Here are some to borrow if you need one. <3

January

I turn over old stories about myself. I whisper them away from me. I shout them goodbye. I tell real, true stories about myself. I am living a beautiful and important life.

February

I have all of the love in the world inside of my body and my mind and my heart. I am love and I am loved.

March

Everything is unfolding just how it should be.

April

I give away my worries. They are now in the wind.

May

Watch me bloom
Watch me bloom
Watch me bloom

June

I will not let myself down.

July

you are good

August

sidestep the bullshit
sidestep the bullshit

September

I can reset at any moment.

October

I will ask for what I want, and I will not feel bad about it.

November

be softer still

December

I am lucky to be here and lucky to know myself.

I love you all. I am hoping you are enjoying this weird week and that everything comes together at the stroke of midnight for you. Kisses, plans ,anything and everything you want.

It is a privilege to be with you now and in 2023. I would like us to be creative together and I would like us to be inspirational together and I would like us to all be here on this wild ride.

Thank you for supporting me. This subscription supports my art and allows me to create more. You never know how important you are to me. I want you to know. <3

So lovely. I wonder if maybe folks who post responses to these prompts should consider using a common hashtag so we can find them?
