I want to document this day
I’ve been finding little notes all over as I go through some old journals. How much did I cry when a piece of paper slipped out that said Scout had his first loose tooth in 2016, and now in 2026 he has a girlfriend. Time, man. Time is flipping flying by here too, and some of the time slippage is good as Keith is recovering well from his foot surgery. We still can’t have him on his foot with any weight for a couple more weeks, and he may have to teach via Zoom when OU starts up again for a week or so, but we are managing. I think I have been blue, but he is a rockstar and is totally handling this so well. We are sitting in our bed tapping away on our computers, and it is pretty perfect. Scout is back to school and the other two start spring quarters in a week. The house is full and there is a hum here. The kids’ friends from high school have been around, and damn it, the holidays are the best, even this slow slide into an unknown year. What will happen? What will unfold?
all my love,
Amy
