April prompt factory + Adult Easter Baskets
A Springtime Update
Hello, loves. How is March exiting left so soon? April is not the cruelest month, you know. I’m so looking forward to a true Ohio spring. And the ECLIPSE is happening….
It’s been a madhouse-wild-world over here. Two big life updates coming later in the week. All good. Just so very much.
I wanted you to know that I will be posting NEW SPRING PROMPTS and poems each day in April. So as not to spam your mailbox like a nightmare, I will be posting each week a whole week's worth of prompts and poems so you can work on them at your leisure. Paid subs get access to all plus a sign-up for a summer zoom for free creativity blues sessions. You could recommit to your journal for April. Just saying.
How are you doing with your writing? I’m treating myself like a baby some days and other days I am strict with myself. I have fully forgiven myself for the novel manuscript I had to let go of because it couldn’t find its way, and I have allowed myself conception of a new thing. Boy, it is a shiny thing. I want to find more time. I want to write more. How is it that we do this? Caffeine? Throwing phones down gutters? Help? Any advice? Talk to us in the comments?
Random: Do you still give your kiddos Easter baskets? I give them candy but thinking of making book baskets for summer reading this year. Also, candy. Always. I have a journal where I write every book I hope my kids read before they die. My favorite book of the last month has been a rereading of Joan Didion’s Play It as It Lays. Yours?
My pretend dream adult easter basket:
Book. Bath. Eat. Treat. Glow. Listen. Go.
What about you?
